Anyone having issues with child sliding down while using TMT

My second TMT recipient is a small 3 year old and her mum said she slips down the seat while in use and so is in need of some support on the bottom seat. I was thinking of printing an extra strap as support between her legs but if she continues to slip this may cause issues? I was wondering if we could add a wedge that attaches to the bottom seat, like a triangle shape with smooth corners with pegs that can slip into the bottom seat? In my case I’m thinking pegs on it so that they can drill a hole for these to slip into? I’m not sure if this would work or is possible. Does anyone have any other ways to remedy this please?

Don’t improvise. Let their physical therapist provide guidance on the right way to deal with these.

Our role is to make the chair as designed and not offer advice or make changes

This exact thing was brought up in another thread yesterday and I believe @MakeGood_Noam is working on a prototype now

I’m in the UK so it’s slightly different here, doubt a NHS therapist here would even look at the chair unfortunately and that’s if you can actually get an appointment. So I was just trying to think of a way to help her to be able to use it comfortably as requested by her mum

We are working on making a video to help families properly fit the TMT. We had an internal meeting with a positioning specialist yesterday. While the video is not out I can give you the highlights:

1 - Make sure the lap strap is as TIGHT as possible. The kids tush should be fully seated at the rear of the chair

2- adjust the footrest to make sure the kids knees make a 90 degree angle and the feet are sitting flat on the footrest

3- strap the feet into the foot rest

Hopefully a video will help the families (and all of us) fit these a little better before the kids can see the PT.

Right now, we are NOT releasing a ‘pommel’. It should not be necessary when adjusted correctly.
