Was just looking around on Amazon for some 98a TPU and found this stuff. Has anyone tried it? When I get through my small stock of 95a stuff I might give it a try.
I am able to run this 98a through my AMS Amazon.com: SUNLU TPU-Silk 3D Printer Filament, 98A TPU Filament 1.75mm, Glossy Silk Surface 3D Filament, Flexible 3D Printing Filament, Dimensional Accuracy +/- 0.03mm, 1kg(2.2lbs) Spool, Dark Blue : Industrial & Scientific
And get these results.
It’s definitely more firm, though
Your prints look great! I ordered a few spools of the one I linked today to try out and see how it works. I’m not a big fan of silk filaments for PLA so not sure how much I would like it for TPU either lol. I didn’t even know it was possible to have that. Hopefully it functions better than silk PLA
FWIW, the filament in the kits will be 98A as it is easier to print. The tires will need to be around 10% infill, and the cushion can remain as sliced
I thought I had read that somewhere.
Do we have an ETA on the kits being ready?
not exactly sure but hopefully about a month
Wanted to post an update on this CHCKX 98A TPU. This filament prints GREAT! I have printed it on my Bambu A1 using the TPU for AMS profile which prints WAY faster than the normal TPU profile. I have not tried it in the AMS yet, but that will be later today and I will report back. I have it loaded in one of my A1’s that has and AMS 1 on it, but I can also try it on the AMS Lite if anyone is curious about that as well. It did load in the AMS perfectly so I have high hopes!
My hopes were too high
The AMS can feed it no problem, until it gets to the extruder and that’s where it goes haywire. I also tried it on the AMS Lite and that was a no go as well. Oh well, it was worth a shot.
That would have been nice for auto swapping filaments. But I have 36 spools of 95A so I’ll let you know in about 18 TMTs from now….
Maybe I’ll dedicate a printer to wheel treads and just ship them out…
I have a few spools (not 36 lol) of 95A as well but the curiosity of the 98A got the best of me and I wanted to try it out. Being able to run it though the AMS was my highest hope but it is what it is on that one.
Well I have printed a few spools of this stuff and it prints real well. Can print much faster than then 95A TPU for sure. I went looking for more colors and came across this one… Amazon Ordered some to give it a try. Little more expensive but not horrible.
