Working on my first build.
I wasn’t very impressed with the Sirya Tech FOAM TPU. I used a 0.06mm nozzel, and the print came out okay. I think the profile needs to be updated to include more of an infill for resistance and more walls to prevent tearing.
I used the Generic_3DTMT±+FOAMING+TPU+SOFT+PARTS+BETA+A profile. That infill was only 4%. Now I see we have a SOFT PARTS - FOAMING TPU 0.2mm layer, 2 walls, 8% infill profile on Makerworld that is 8% infill.
- Anyone have the same complaint with the first, and feel the second one is better? I was thinking 3-4 walls and 16% gyroid infill.
If you go with that much infill it will be too stiff to serve the purpose. These need to be as soft as possible. I have printed a few out of the foaming TPU and while it looks like crap, its very easy to clean up after the fact and is incredibly soft.
Thanks @NWCC. I will try to reprint at 8%. Right now my fingers squish from the front to the back with no resistance.
Yeah that’s how you want them to be. Most of these kids are extremely light. You want them to be as soft as possible for them.
Fabulous, congratulations… Looks very cool. That should be a standard profile for colors for a “Paw Patrol” design.
