Footrest in one part?

UPDATE - I figured it out. Had to import the file in Bambu Studio.

Question - when I download the file, I get the attached file. It will not open in Bambu Studio. Even tried changing the file extension to a .3mf and nothing. Anyone know what I am doing wrong and the correct way to download the file? I have never used Google Drive before, so I’m sure I am doing this wrong.

You need to import, not open.

Start a new blank project then File - > Import

@MakeGood_Noam What is the current position on:

Using the single footrest “test” file in finished chairs?

If the above is acceptable: is it permissible to print the footrest “flat”?

May we remove the “test” verbiage from the print?

Thanks so much.

we are comfortable using the one-piece footrest on finished chairs. We have tested in locally and its worked great.

I used the one-piece footrest in my most recent chair but noticed the bolt holes do not go all the way through to the slots. Unless you have the correct size drill bit you won’t be able to insert the bolts.

oh! thanks for pointing this out. I will add this to the to-do changes for the next version. We made this change late in the design process so that makes sense

Is there a reason that you printed the one-piece footrest in that orientation on your XL?
I printed the two-piece version flat (bottom down). I will try the one-piece model for my next TMT.

That orientation should be stronger than upright

Honestly, at that time, I didn’t think about printing it flat—this was second or third print on that machine (I only had it for about a month) and I didn’t realize that I had the real estate for larger prints…. I have been printing them flat since)

@MakeGood_Noam did you pull the combined footrest file? i can’t find it

I did as it was still a design file and was missing a couple of features. I’m having LINK send me an updated one part footrest
