Thanks. Linear advance? Is that the same as pressure advance? I use Bambu studio.
Yea the flow going up shocked me a bit, especially that high, I did read some people saying the bambu profile is a bit on the lean side for flow but!
I think first time round the scars were due to adhesion, a gentle lift meaning the filament got ploughed through by the nozzle and left the scars on each corner.
Second time round I read that it could have been pillowing? Where the speed helped heat get trapped inside the gyroid the layer is laid on top and causes a gentle lift of top surface and again appears to be over extrusion or rough patches. The slower speed and the more top layers helped to control this.
To be honest you could go down such a rabbit hole with this, I like perfection, but in all honesty this needs to be functional, and it is! So I could leave it, but I want it to look good!
I somehow resemble that remark… My OCD - has me running down rabbit holes all the time. I had to do a few things around the house or I’d end up in a shed with my printers. lol
I spent the afternoon calibrating two machines for both PETG and PLA. Talk about a lot of tests. One of the machines is a Prusa. Orca sure makes it easier to calibrate. Everything is right there including a good tutorial.
