.06 Settings - New Build

I just claimed another build and would like to try .06 all around. I see sprinkled information about this, so I would like to consolidate it.

Could you please share the settings I need to tweak for .06 on PETG and TPU?

Thank you

There is a 0.6n print profile on Makerworld.

The .6mm profile is all the REV A parts. Its old and not provided by Make Good

I would open the main MakeGood profile. Change it to your printer and a .6mm nozzle. Then check the wall count it what you want. I personally use 3, but the main .4 profile is 2. Then make sure your infil is set to Gyroid and I use 10%, main .4 profile is 15%. Everything that was already set to special settings should have remained the same as the .4 profile and be good to go.

Yeah I thought Noam had that pulled officially. Somebody must’ve put it back up…

I remember some setting people talked about when using the .6 profile, I can’t seem to locate it though, sparse infill, or something like that.

What about the support settings, .35 layer, top Z and stuff like that?

Sparse infill is what I was talking about for the infill percentage.

Sorry forgot about that. I use .35mm Top Z Distance, 3 top interface layers and Rectilinear top interface pattern. I also set support/object first layer gap to 0.5mm (this is so the brim on the supports doesn’t attach to the part

I use 0.38 top Z, it comes off buttery smooth.

Great, thank you all.

Anything special for the TPU?

Sorry I had no idea. Still learning for this first build.

You can’t do the straps with a 0.6mm nozzle, but everything else works great

I think the 0.06 profile on Makerworld has “Infill combination” enabled, which makes it only print the infill on every other layer. That was causing it to try to print the infill with 0.6 layer height which didn’t work very well. So make sure you keep that turned off.

Which layer heigh for .6? I sliced a file and the time was longer than a .4

.3 usually, but you can go up to .36 or so if you want. Just need to adjust the Z top distance for supports.

Also make sure it didn’t take you to 4 walls and 25% infill when you switched it to .6 nozzle

Still going with 2-3 walls and 15%?

I run 3 and 10% personally

I’m doing 2 walls with 0.6
