That looks great! Nice work! Is that a pattern on the cushions? or is it just an optical illusion?

It is actually the 2% gyroid infill showing through the transparent TPU. I personally love the look and only use the transparent.

That is correct yeah, its just how it comes out with that TPU type. Was kind of a happy accident but it turned out pretty great.

And congrats on the first delivery. My last part is coming off tomorrow morning for #3 and I’ve got all the colors and filament ready to start #4 tomorrow. The color tool is absolutely fabulous.

Thanks, that makes sense, being translucent TPU. How did you get such a clean TPU print?

Slooow. I print at 30 mms and I keep acceleration at 500. I’m Not using an expensive TPU, Geeetech, about $8 kg from AliExpress.

Right now I’m very happy with the results so I don’t mind if it takes a day to print the cushion for the back of the chair. I’ve had so many of them fail, I’m happy they finally print.

Very clean. Can you screenshot your travel / acceleration speeds?. What printer do you have? Thanks!

I will when I get home. I print the TPU on my Bambu A1

Wow.

You have cut those down tremendously! Does the printer still move? :joy:. I have an A1 too. And even for my standard prints I chop down acceleration by half. Just habit really as I know it’s a very fast and jerky printer!

Yeah going to echo Charlie here, mine wasn’t as super clean as it may look, had to do a bit of clipping and trimming, and I dont have the speed settings saved (oops) but it was very slow I think around 40 mm/s max.I still had travel speed high which I will adjust next time because I think that and retraction distance led to alot of my stringing issues.

Honestly that chair was my first time printing TPU outside of the test parts so I’m definitely still learning alot.

Yes I’m the slow guy here…lol… but I’ll deal with the slow for now. Challenge is after the last update all my TPU prints have gotten longer and I didn’t change anything…

Would be interesting to print the infill in a different color.
