Is it ok if we give our contact info to the family with the chair? My thinking with this is if there is ever any issues like a part break or anything else they could reach out and I could repair it quickly. I just wanted to make sure that is ok to do.
The platform is designed for anonymity for security reasons so I cannot explicitly condone this one way or another. That being said, it is not against our messaging guidelines to include your email to give them the option.
Ok thank you! That all makes sense.
So, if a recipient has an issue with a chair do they reach out to you? How is an issue handled? I’d hate to donate a chair, have there be an issue and then they have no way to resolve it. Thank you.
I assume they can still reach out to MakeGood and get help that way. But I know for me if its something I built that has an issue I want to make sure I get it fixed ASAP myself.
100% feel the same way
Yeah. While I understand the Anonymity, in this situation I personally dont care for it. But as long as I know that leaving my contact info doesnt violate any rules I am good with that.
I know I dropped off a chair this afternoon and its driving me crazy not knowing if they liked it or not lol.
Maybe should be it’s own topic, but maybe families could be notified that in the “Notes from Family” section. A little more info might help someone wanting to build a chair. Looking at the screenshot from my area, I want to build them all, but can you guess which one I plan on doing first? I’m sure you can.
#1410 would be my guess. I wish I had that many that close to me. Right now the closest one is 170 miles from me.
Wow, and you dropped one off today! Congratulations on that. Are you adding the pics to the gallery?
The one I dropped off today was the only one local to me. The first one I did was 175 miles away but also on my way to work (offshore boat captain) so it worked out. I am hoping that the therapy place I dropped off at today will like it and some other families will request one.
Here are some pics of the one I dropped off today.
There are some pics from printing on the map as well. Pensacola, FL
Very, Very Cool…Congratulations on a great build.. I went through Air Crew training in the Navy back in 85 through Pensacola. Loved that place. Also love to fish & Love boats, My Scout troop is going to Sea Base in Key West end of this month. I’m not going this year..
I am so glad I asked this question. Tomorrow we are driving 200 miles to drop a chair off, and the family asked to meet us there when we deliver. While I completely understand the Animity, this really has me excited! Will be so awesome to actually get to see all the time spent printing and assembling get used for the first time! It has sucked not seeing anything at all from the first 2 we delivered. If the family is ok with it I will take pics and videos to post!
Today was just completely awesome!!!
We got to deliver this chair to Avery today. Mom wanted to meet us and let us see him try it for the first time which we were ecstatic for! He was smiling and kept saying thank you the whole time we were there! This really made all the print hours and the long drive so very worth it!! (Mom was good with us taking the picture and sharing it)
Well done ! This is what it’s all about
I guess you could say I liked the long back roads drive. Just picked up 2 more builds up around the same area. Hoping to work it out where I can drop off both in one run to save on the fuel cost.
