Printing trouble with TPU95A for cushions

Just started with 3DTMT. Been printing for 2yrs. I see the infill % for the ‘seat’ cushions for 95a is 10%, but what about the headrest cushion? Same? I have one going already and just did the default 15%…

I think I usually do even less than that. closer around 4% You want them very soft. 15% is too much, 10% might be ok.

I think it’s 4% if you’ure using regular 95A TPU, or 10% if you’reusing the foaming TPU Air.

2% infill with 95A, 8-10% with TPU AIR

Has anyone tried anything else besides gyroid for the cushions?

Hard to tell in the pic, but every imperfection is where the infill meets the wall. I’m using three walls and this has helped, but gyroid is so nonlinear. I understand gyroid for the PETG, but at 2% does it matter what we use in the cushions? @MakeGood_Noam ?

I’d love to try something else, but I don’t know what, and the brain trust here has to have some insight into an infill that might work much better. Thanks

Not in front of my computer right now, but there is a setting. It’s in the plate settings, not the object. In the first tab, I think quality. Something like outer wall first, then infill. Click it on.

I’m hoping someone else comes along with the proper wording, but this could be a start!

I believe this is what @Nonny is referring to…

Choose “outer/inner”

Thank you!

That and ‘avoid crossing walls’.

Both seem to help. But, if it’s not in front of me to see, I couldn’t remember exactly what it’s called.:woman_facepalming:t3:

Thank you both, @Nonny @NWCC have either of you ever experimented with “Infill/Wall Overlap”? It is the first option under Advanced below the infill options. AI likes my TPU setup lol, but it said to try running a test at 10% vs the default 15% since this has to do with how the infill interacts with the walls. The killer is I’ll have only one or two defects on a 25 hour print, so trying a “Test Print” isn’t really helpful. I need to just buck up and commit to a full day “Test”

Thanks Again
