i’m ok with it. let me know request number and ill make sure it gets approved
The chair has already been delivered. They just want to send them the replacement parts. I sent them a print profile that should work well, has worked great for mine.
Hi guys to clarify I had two breaks this week
One ready to deliver
One was delivered recently to the family.
Ha! I was going to suggest you contact a local maker through your dashboard, turns out that’s me. If this isn’t sorted let me know.
Also, I don’t use any lube, I use a trigger clamp to push the pin in, works well for me.
Ahh I misunderstood that. Did you try printing that file?
I just puled the petg out of the dryer to get it started. I’m in michigan and its so humid that i have to overnight dry or everything is crap
I’m in the same boat in FL ![]()
the struggle with just two A1s printers is it will be a while before i can let you know…
A1’s are great printers! I have 3 of them.
10 hours each maybe your right and i gotta switch to 0.6.
I tried the PETG HF profile but it didn’t work. So I’m back to generic PETG and 10 hours each.
.6 nozzle is where its at for sure. the only thing I use a .4 for is the straps. Everything else is .6 I also try to get HF/HS filament as much as possible. Even more so for the TPU. That prints 4 times faster than regular! I am too impatient lol so anything I can do to speed up the process I am doing. Plus I am usually printing 2-3 chairs at a time.
Just a question in general, is it known that the high speed versions are not as strong and are less ductile? Does that make a difference in these builds? I had to check, but that is what I remembered. Apparently it drops the glass transition temp, too. which I didn’t know. Gemini AI output below.
My assumption is its known and good since the official makegood kit is from School House spools. I have been printing a LOT of it and Numakers filament with zero build issues
12 hours later it seems to have worked. I will pack it for her
That’s awesome!!! Glad it worked!!
she wants all the parts which is a good idea. But i think shes so frazzled with her son moving and life it would be better if I brought it to her and installed it. We have plans this week and next family visiting and driving all around with them. Home one day not the next. I think it might be best though if I did it. I struggle myself getting the pin and the clampy parts the right way and i’m worried she will but the clampy parts the wrong way around and i’ll be remaking and shipping.
I have to say i can feel the new one is MUCH more strong just in my hands it has a bit of weight and feels like i can trust it more. I really like your profile
To make sure I have the clamps right I always slide them down from the top first so I can tell they are the right way.
This right here says your gut is telling you the right thing. Just do it when you have time and it will be for the best most likely. That or spend a little more on the shipping and assemble it before you package it.
I am so glad it worked for you! I always get nervous with that lol. What works for one doesn’t always work for someone else, and I hate wasting people’s time and filament. So glad it worked out!
I thought about shipping it whole. But when i repaired the last one you had to take the headrest screw out and slide it in. I have a mom who is at her limit. I think the extra help and love and support is needed. I should wait to do it until i can devote the time she needs.
