Question about foaming TPU infill density

I’m building my first TMT, and I found a discrepancy between the build guide and the 3MF files.

For printing the cushions in foaming TPU, the build guide indicates 8-10% infill. In the “3DTMT - FOAMING TPU SOFT PARTS BETA A A1.3mf”, the infill for the top and bottom is set to 2%, and the headrest is set to 4%. In the “3DTMT±+FOAMING+TPU+BUCKET+SEAT.3mf” file, the infill is set to 10%.

Which is correct?

HI Charles, welcome & nice stapler

For Foaming TPU, 8-10% is correct. I use 10% for mine.

2-4% infill would be if you were using regular 95A or 98A TPU.

That sounds reasonable. How do we get the files corrected so nobody else misprints as I did?

@MakeGood_Noam or @MakeGoodScott could update this file on Makerworld.

FYI, I pulled them from the Google Drive link, not from Makerworld.

I checked the one on Makerworld. Sounds like they need to be updated in both places.

I just updated them in both spots! thanks

FWIW, someone was kind enough to post this file on Makerworld. It’s the headrest plate with the settings dialed in. I printed it with Siraya TPU Air and it wasn’t quite perfect, but it was much, much better than anything else I could come up with on my own after combing through this topic on the forum. Maybe it will help someone else, and thanks to the maker who posted it… https://makerworld.com/en/models/2901619-siryatech-foaming-tpu-66a-settings#profileId-3243728
