Tire question since I printed both plates

Hi Everyone,

I am moving along my first build on a P1S and just finished 2 plates of tires.

But instead of printing twice the same plate, I used TPU 95A on Plates 26 and also on plate 27 witch is supposed to be on TPU 98

So now I have 2 different tire densities.

The chair is for a 3 year old. I suppose I should print again plate 26 the softer tire.

What do you think ?

Then the result of plate 27 ( 34 hours ) in PLU 95A could be use later for an older heavier child ?

Thanks for your input.

Sophia

I would just save them for your next build and have them be all the same density within one build.

You could probably use both of them and it wouldn’t make much difference if any. The 3 casters support the weight for the most part. The large tires just gives the child traction to move themselves.

My OCD could never allow that :joy: most families probably wouldn’t even realize they are different…but I would know. Had a friend a couple years ago tell me to stop pointing out the flaws in the things I make, because no one else but me would notice them.

I am 100% the same way so I get that completely! But save those and make the same mistake on one plate next time and you’ll be good

The feel being quiet different, and my endless desire to do the best I can, make me believe it is a sign that I will be making another chair

Thank you all for your so fast answers

It’s kind of like Pringles. Once you pop (build your first one), you can’t stop.

My OCD would have me alternate them on each wheel and be done with it…

As long as they look the same. No child is able to squeeze these to even be able to tell the difference. Heck, at 15% I can barely squeeze them. :joy:

Exactly what I was going to say! @Little_Charlie

So I mixed the 2 different density tires, and before putting the caps on, I rolled it.

It is wobbly. I am reprinting tires.

The second chair will go so much faster !!

And yes, the theme is Lightning McQueen.
