Tires too short!

Hello, I just finished the 35 to 40 hour print on the tires and they arent long enough to fit around the wheel. There were some smaller pieces that printed and I could use those to fill the gap but I don’t think this is right

Oh-oh. I’m sorry! I’m no expert and I don’t know what I would do.

I see a ‘slice’ on the side. Did you print an extra one to fill the gap?

I am exactly at this step, printing the tires.

Would you mind sharing some more info on your settings for TPU?

printer, filament brand, bed/nozzle temperature, max volumetric speed ?

So I didn’t change any settings I just used what was it the file. The slice that you see was not printed separately. It’s what happened during the original print what I think has happened. Is that a layer skipped or there was a glitch and so it printed us two separate things. When it was printing, it looked like it was some sort of support piece so I didn’t stop the print and look, and then when I pulled it off the plate it pulled off separately.

Now I got it. There must have been a problem with one of the layers during your print.

I think there should be a way of gluing these pieces together so you don’t lose them. Since I’m usually quite unlucky, I’m printing each tire section individually, and they actually fit perfectly.

I may have to do that cause I just printed the tires again and they’re too short. I just am on a deadline and it is taking forever. This is such a setback. I’m frustrated.

What printer was used to print these tires?

Bambu A1. I think the issue with a clogged extruder

So I started just putting two or three tire sections at a time instead of the whole plate seems to really help. I also made sure that the TPU was really really dry.
