Ok this is my 4th/5th time trying to print the straps
and it comes off the bed looking beautiful, then i unwrap it and note seamless gaps every 3 inches. What am I doing wrong??

Can you post some pics?
Well that’s a new one lol. What printer and slicer are you using? Also what size nozzle?
RIGHT! other than the gaps its a great strap, elegoo neptune, elegoo slicer, 4 nozzle, speed is low, filament dried, im at a loss, i honestly think i may try putting a towel over it and ironing it.
What is your line width set at? I almost looks like the 2 walls aren’t melting together and your basically getting a vase mode print.
we have tried .2mm and .28mm
I think (hope) you are talking about layer height there.
Your line width setting is a little bit different. It should be “stock” set at .42 which should be perfect for the straps. But if it has been lowered down that could be part of the issue.
Womp, its set to .42, should i try to up it?
You shouldn’t need to. This is an odd one for me… Hopefully someone else will comment with a better idea than I am having lol.
Is it doing that on ALL of the straps or just that one?
yup, it is mind boggling i was hoping we werent the only ones im going to try and print it from our centauri carbon2
Try “Arachne” for wall generator
nope, didnt work ty for the suggestion though
On my 3rd TMT (printed on a Bambu Lab P1S, I got two batches of straps that were intermitently delaminate as shown in your photos. I suspected a partial clog which impeded the flow of the filament through the extruder; so I did a cold pull, and then they came out perfect again. You might want to try a cold pull to clean out your hot end.
Hi tom, thanks for sharing, I have tried that but maybe i didnt release the whole clog. ill def try again!
At what temperature are you printing? You may have to bump it up 5° to 10°.
I have had good luck with Perplexity AI - I’d have to concur that could be a partial clog (under extrusion), part cooling or temp. I have been printing for only 18 months and have only ever had to do a cold pull once before printing TPU. My Bambu A1 has only been printing TPU for the last 3 months and I’ve had to do two cold pulls. I guess that is why the slicer keeps asking me every time I go to print if I’ve done a cold pull.
Hi Charlie! thanks for reaching out! I just cleared the nozzle, adjusted temps, speed, made it arachne mode etc. Fingers crossed it works, if not, using my hair straightner covered in parchment paper to go over gaps is working!
It’s probably somewhere in the thread but what nozzle are you using? The reason I ask is because I had that happen with a 0.6. When I changed to a 0.4 the problem went away. I think that Little Charlie has come really good suggestions, also.
