3D Color Planning tool

FYI, your https://3d-mobility.org/ link has a speeling erorr.

I’m willing to test if you still need testers!

I stumbled across a project called fiamentcolors where an individual is documenting color measurements for each filament that is sent in. I plan to donate a few colors I have - mainly numakers and Overture PETG. It’d be amazing if the color planning tool could incorporate the measured colors/actual filament names. Is this the current Configurator program that is online in our dashboard right now? If it is, Is there anyway to reset a submitted design. I clicked that button, and now I have to completely redesign any changes to the chair I make. Kinda frustrating

It’s not supposed to be showing for you yet. It’s still in the integration phase, so things aren’t working as planned. We will let everyone know when it’s ready to use. Sorry about that, I’ll check why it’s showing to avoid that in the future

Pretty sure it is showing for everyone. I have gotten a few admin messages about it

Eek I’m pushing a fix now.

Can you take a look now

Still there for me, this is an actual build, not my test build…

If you’re viewing it from your admin account you will still see it. I need the admins to test  it just won’t be totally functional outside of the test process

It is gone from my builds now.

I really apologize for the confusion here. I’m working as fast as I can to get it released to everyone.

That was from my maker dashboard, but still my account is admin so it makes sense. Glad @boasist was able to confirm!

This is really unfortunate. I was actively using it to get feedback from a family for their chair. Is it possible to reenable it for my account? I will provide you with any feedback I have. I have 30 years of SRE experience, but I spent the early part of my career as a software tester.

Well, don’t turn it off, it’s great even with it’s quirks. Just providing some feedback

Im working on getting it functional within the system. The workflow not being optimized yet is going to cause more confusion. You can use the older version with the similar functionality here: tmt.foreveretched.org - you can generate the exports and the share codes to be able to go back and forth with for now.

Any idea when you may have the new version of this available? Even the previous tool is SUPER helpful, but I’d love to get more details with modeling all pieces of the chair, handle, and straps prior to material purchasing so I can be very prepared. Thanks for what you are doing @Cheese3dPrints

Hi! Hopefully very soon! We’re in the final stretch. Unfortunately, at the moment the only model I don’t have are the straps.

I’m not good in fusion or any of the cad programs so I haven’t quite figured out how to integrate that. I had help with the handle!

Not sure how I didn’t see this thread and jump on the list of testers! This is AWESOME!

I’m using a very crude, line art model that I found somewhere within this group early on for me to design each chair. Nowhere near the quality of what you’ve got going! But it has really helped me to decide what color goes where.

Not sure where you are in the process, but I’d love to be able to help test it!

When I’m designing all these wheels, I like to throw them on the mock up of the chair. Just to give me an idea of what the final build will look like.

Here is an example and please let me know if I am able to help test.

Thanks!
