This is not a promotion of one brand over the other, discussion of why it does/doesn’t make sense getting one printer over the other, or an attempt to circumvent minimum requirements for printing TMT.
Prusa is still a really influential brand, with a huge community and many units in households and print farms. They were a gold standard until Bambu appeared. Sadly majority of their machines have build volume of 250 x 210 x 220 mm (MK3.9/ MK4S) or 250 x 220 x 270 mm (Core One) This means that anyone who chooses this ecosystem has to get Core One L or Prusa XL to be able to print a TMT—not a cheap endeavor.
Given the size of their ecosystem, user base, and brand loyalty of its members it would be great to have this many more makers to be able to contribute to this project.
The latter is still being revised and optimized. I think it is worth figuring out how to break larger parts to fit on smaller build plates.
