Prusa EMFs on Printables

Hi everyone, I’ve just ordered the parts/filament for my first TMT and excited to get going!

As my current printers are Prusas, I’ll need to create EMFs for them instead of using the pre-made Bambu files. Would it be possible to post those files to Prusa’s printing site, to make it easier for Prusa based people to join? I’m happy to help with any review needed before posting.

I made a post a while ago about Designing TMT parts to fit on Prusa printers

As of right now, the only Prusa printers that you can use to print the entire TMT are Core One L and Prusa XL; most parts do not fit on the build plate. I was hoping to get a few people with design skills to help with figuring this part out, but so far no luck.

I have a Prusa Core One L on order, but it won’t be here for another month. I do have design skills using Autodesk Fusion so if you need my help please reach out.

That’s great! The challenge is splitting parts so they can fit on MK4s build plate (250 x 210 x 220 mm) without compromising structural integrity of TMT. Of course it would have to be approved by @MakeGood_Noam and @MakeGoodScott

I unfortunately lack these skills, but I believe this will open this project to a large number of makers who chose Prusa ecosystem.

We are going to hold off any modifications of this sort. Thanks

TBC, this thread was specifically about importing the existing approved settings into PrusaSlicer to make it easier to work with printers with large enough build plates (XL/Core L). @MakeGood_Noam would that be acceptable to publish further? This would be a 1:1 copy with no mechanical changes (including part orientation). I can first post my EMF files here if you want to review/post yourself?

When the time comes I’d be happy to help port the models to work on smaller printers, but I understand that’s not a focus right now.

ah ok - i understand now. totally fine as long as nothing is materially changed between the files.

I will soon join the Prusa family and am willing to help out. Let’s make sure to have a central place to post the files. I’d rather not have a plethora of Google folders to jump around to, if you know what I mean.

Excellent! I have a Prusa XL, so between us we can cover the two current options.

Do you have any preference for where we collaborate? I’m slowly building out a multi-plate EMF for the XL for the PETG parts (that’s what I’m printing first).

I was also thinking of making some build plates for the MK4S, for any pieces that fit.

I would love to help as well! I have MK3, MK4s, and XL. I have been using Orca Slicer with all of them successfully.

I’ve just completed the part printing using several Prusa printers. A MK3S for the TPU belt parts, Prusa Mini for the belt buckles, and Prusa XL for the PETG and larger TPU parts. I ooked at the provided .3MF in Orca SLicer, then set my settings in PrisaSlicer the same and everything seemed to work so far. I didn’t love the surface finish on the seat and headrest cushions, so I added fuzzy skin as someone else here suggested. I’ll evaluate the support removal and decide if I try to tweak the TPU settings further.

No, I don’t have a preference for where we collaborate. I just didn’t want to have a Google folder for every possible thing–one for left-handed children, one for right-handed children, one for multi-color designs, one for Prusa, one for Bambu, another one for Creality, you get the idea.

I think printables is a good choice: I’m using Vorons, not Prusas, and I find Printables much friendlier to the, shall we say, “cross platform” crowd than Makerworld.

My CoreOne L will arrive tomorrow. I have created a folder for us to post files and helpful hints. The intention is not to modify any of the TMT design files but post files with settings appropriate for printing on Prusa printers. Remember to use REV B now, not REV A.

Can you please edit permissions in google drive–I just tried to upload what I have, but received '“you do not have permission” message

Is there anyone else in the group using a CoreOne or CoreOne L? I am putting the REV B files into Prusa Slicer for use on my CoreOne L and will post the results when done. I just won’t work so fast if I’m the only one.
