Back castor removal

How do you get the lock out to remove the back castor?

Hummmm…. Thats a good question. On all the others you can knock them out with a screwdriver through the little hole on the opposite side, but the caster blocks that on that one. The “least” destructive way I can think of is to run a screw into the lock piece and pull it out with a pair of pliers. You’ll kill the lock part but not the entire mount. One small part to reprint vs 2 larger parts.

This - I might drill a hole first and then screw in something to pull out. I actually do this all the time. Sometimes if you screw something in first it might actually expand the plug and make it tougher to pull out, just my two copper Lincolns.

Very good point!

Thanks everyone! opted for a little crazy glue on the end of a screw, Put it on the lock point, wait, and pull it out. the loss of a small part over the full assembly was the perfect advise!!!

Good deal Glad that worked out!

Use a tiny drill bit. Only drill in as far as you need to get a good grip on it and pull it straight out. Don’t back the drill bit out of the piece until you have removed it. Thats how I did it. The hole is so small and not in a detrrimental place so you should be able to use tha piece again too.
