Clarifying deliveries

Im brand new to this and haven’t built yet, but I noticed when a chair is requested, it says that the chair must be delivered to a clinic for professional ‘fitting’. I love that idea…is it required, or are there instances of it being delivered to home? I would prefer that a clinician help with the order and the chair be delivered to the clinic…just want to be sure that’s the case. I also saw that build requests give makers the city and a color request, but can we see the clinic request prior to the build?

I have done 2 and both of those have been delivered to a clinic. Dropping one off today actually. There is a lot of info you don’t really see until you claim the job.

Hey Dr Page! The idea is that the chair is dropped off to a clinic, so their provider can help fit it. Not everyone has that option, so some families are choosing schools, libraries, etc. Once you claim a request and start building it will give you the dropoff info! thanks

I guess that make sense, but does that mean we can only drop off during business hours? I was thinking I would be delivering on Saturdays so I don’t have to take time off work. And most of these are going to involve a bit of a road trip (which I am looking forward to).

In that case, yes. I would call the clinic and ask if they can be open on that day for dropoff

Hi. I am getting close to finishing my first build and just saw this post. The drop-off location for the chair I am building has what appears to be the address for the family’s home. Is that normal? I am good either way, but after reading this post it has me curious.

If you don’t mind, please use the messaging feature to bring this to their attention and ask if there is a clinic or other place you can drop off thanks

Thank you. I definitely will do this.
