I want to blame the filament track switch, but at any rate, the white filament oozed up into the silicone sock and now the whole harness is toast.
Luckily they make this part available for purchase, so now I just wait.

Ouch. That sucks! I have spares of all that stuff for my A1ās but not so much for the X2D yet. I usually throw a part or 2 in when I order anything if I need to get to $80 for the free shipping from bambu lol.
Same, Iām stocked on X1 parts and Iām near a Microcenter but they donāt have much for the X2D yet.
I put a help request out on the maker dashboard as I donāt have a way to print these wheels for another week or so and thatās all I need to wrap up this build!
Is it possible to get the Mickey/Minnie wheels in 2 parts besides the existing 4 part versions?
Yes, Iāll try and get those up on the drive over the weekend.
Donāt burn yourself out. I just started the build and it will take a while before I need the wheels.
Thank you @Nonny
@boasist where can I find your request. I havenāt seen a section in the dashboard for them. Or is it just another topic?
@NWCC helped me out, when I added him as a co maker on the build it removed the request Iād say.
Iāve seen requests before all the way at the bottom of the ready to claim page on your dashboard. Iād say requests follow the same radius youāve specified in your profile for builds, but Iām not sure.
Yeah I have always offered to print wheels for anyone that needs them. I have 2 printers that can do up to 12 colors and have most of everything for all the different colors on hand already. Only thing I ask the maker to pay for is shipping which so far as been $10 or less it seems.
Very reasonable. I only have 9 colors.
@NWCC Iām color blind, and we donāt really do a good job of listing the filament / colors people are using for their custom wheels.
Think that is one of the things I really appreciate about some of the Patreonās I subscribe to. They will show the printed result, and a list of Filaments with links to those brands/colors. This is exceptionally helpful when I lookup the color codes and check mine using the HueForge TD reader.
Have you ever thought about making a seperate post for each customer wheel type you have printed, and then listing the filament used? That way we could all add our printed examples and filaments as well. Maybe we can have a āWheels Threadā so the Cusom Wheels doesnāt get flooded.
Mickey and Minnie 2pc wheels are on the drive!
I will try to work on that when I have some time. For most of this the āexactā color doesnāt matter that much. This is about getting as close as we can to make the kids happy. But I think I have pics of the wheels I have printed and will be able to post the links for the filaments as well.
Wondering if I should just post that on the new forum. I did make a separate category over there for the wheels.
I agree that I wouldnāt need the filament color suggestions, unless it was the most obscure color, or a cool metallic or glow in the dark filament. But basic colors, Iād be good.
So if I use something custom like that on any of my requests Iāll be sure to update with a filament link.
I will still work to put what filaments I used on there. Most of us are picky and want to get it as close as we can lol. At least I know I am lol.
I sometimes color match with my graphics program. Then, using the RGB color, I use BS to create that color. So the RGB color ends up being in the file Iāve loaded.
I donāt do that for all of the designs, but sometimes I have to!
Yes, the Bambu mesh will auto map colors, or you can specify them right there as well. Great for other parts, the wheels, not so much.
I suppose you can take your first step where you use the wheel template to cut the design, then just import that and get it placed properly on the part.
Worth a shot, but you seem to crank these designs out pretty quick.
Thank you. @Nonny
Getting started with this over on the new forum. Hopefully I was able to give what you were looking for. Just remember you pay for pateron, this one is free ![]()
