Mickey and Friends

Any chance of getting a collage type wheel for Mickey and Friends? Below is an example of the group pics that are a current request for me.

No preference on 2 or 4 piece. 9 colors max for me.

Thank you!

We can try! The issue I see here is when they get too small, it gets too hard to get good clean lines with a .4mm nozzle. I couldnt imagine trying to print an entire wheel with a .2mm. But I’m sure @Nonny can come up with something!

I will see what I can do. But @NWCC is correct, the more detail and the smaller the detail, the more you lose when printing even with a .4

I always do a preview, using.4, before uploading. Even when it looks good on paper, you can lose so much when printing.

Are you mainly looking for one design with as many of the Disney characters as we can get in there? I would definitely do a 2 pc to avoid having to line up that much detail on four cuts.

I would do them all as 2 piece from here on out. So much better than the 4 piece!

I agree, and luckily most have requested 2pc.

Correct, just a nice poster image of the mickey universe.

Thank you.

This is 9 colors, but can easily be fewer. If you’re OK with it, I can create the file and upload to the drive tomorrow

It’s on the drive!

Let me know if it gives you any trouble. I would DEFINITELY use a .4, LOTS of detail.

And please let us know how it turns out? I love seeing the finished products!

Plotting it out now, I had to order a few colors that won’t be here until Thursday.

I plan on putting a stop in at layer 15, and then just swapping out the white with the remaining kit filament I have.

Just putting this out there - it works really good

It seems to have been removed from the drive?

I was going to give it a go on Windows as my Mac was throwing an error.

Not sure if that’s it. I just checked and it’s set to allow anyone with the link access.

Maybe wait a bit and try going directly from the link that’s posted in the custom wheel thread? I’ll try and attach it here, but…

If you switched computers, maybe you need to start over with access?

And, if that doesn’t work, I’m sure @NWCC can help with this.

Completed Wheel 3MF Files - Google Drive

I don’t see it on the drive either. I haven’t removed anything.

Very strange, I don’t see it either! I will upload again.

And, just to clarify, this is for the Disney Collage, multi character wheel. Right?

I’d say it wasn’t me, but it’s so possible that I took it down to make sure I had all the settings correct. Then when I did re-upload it, it didn’t go through and I missed it.

I always open the file directly from the drive to make sure it works. If I notice I have turned off supports or changed infill, etc, I try and go back in and make sure all setting are ready to print. Well, ready for me to print.
Sorry guys!

Well, I was attempting to print this and had an issue where filament got into the hotend mounting area.

My X2D is shot now until I can get the new heating assembly.

I might try hooking up the two AMS to my X1, we shall see.
