What are we all doing in cases of flaws such as pictured? 3d pen? Don’t feel it’s bad enough to scrap part. Obviously don’t like it visually though…
Those areas end up pretty hidden when fully assembled.
I just left them be if they weren’t harming anything structural.
yes agree to the above - not a big deal
What do you think caused them out of interest. Look pretty minor so seems leaving them be will be acceptable
that side prints face-down so probably the 1st layer didn’t stick to the bed in those 2 spots.
I cleaned the plate (cool plate SuperTack) and recalibrated printer (P1P). First layer of next one, no problem. Yet… I just realized I printed the same part instead of the other side
ugh, oh well. Will keep for next one…
I tried to use those plates on my A1’s and never could get PETG to stick to them well (the bigger parts anyways) so I went back to the textured PEI plate with a little glue stick and that works great. Hopefully the cool plate does better for you!
we run the khadevi plates. tried others but they are the best ive found.
I’ve seen those all over tiktok but never talked to anyone that ran one. Glad to hear they are good. Might have to pick one up and try it.
Do you run glue or anything on them? Any issues getting the prints to release after they cool?
at the print farm we have about 75 of the actual tiktok ones. Great guy over there selling them. I try to support him whenever possible. No glue. no alcohol. no cleaning… yet. you HAVE to let them cool down. what we do is open the door, pull the plate about 75% off then have the magnets just hold it open in free air. by the time they have gone thru all the printers the first ones are cool enough to clear. at the lab here I take them off and spin um in my hands for a bit. with them in play we dont use brims at all anymore.
Thanks for the info! Any chance you sell the plates? Just ordered a X2D so might try one on there
best bet is to order from him direct: KDEAVI COOL Build Plates — Shop — Eskildsen Creative Works
