So I just started building my first chair and ran across this. I have the 3d tmt kit and noticed the slots for the caster are different sizes… I wanted to check if this was ok? The smaller slot fits the kit caster. It does fit together fine, I just found it odd.

That is because the way the two halves slide together with the caster installed the one side needs to be longer.

I can take some measurements of the kit Caster and maybe that would help answer your question when I get home

these are cheaper i price , is reason i asked

Many of us have transitioned to the “orange” caster that you can purchase on Amazon. It’s a huge savings and the availability so far has been good. If you switch, you must print using the designed file for the orange in order for it to fit. It’s located in the complete chair file. It will help with cost if you intend to print multiple chairs for sure… I’d recommend switching after this one since you already have the McMasterCar caster.

This may be an obvious question, but I ordered the big caster from McMaster, since the kit was out of stock. So I need to only print Plate 09 and not Plate 10, correct?

That is correct. The one labeled McMaster on the plate.

Yes, this appears to be correct. I just verified that the plate dimensions are the same as the ones I ordered a few weeks ago.

i didnt see the file for it, was the kit and mcmaster
on other forum , they posted a link for them

For the orange Amazon casters you will need to use the mounts in the post linked above. Neither the McMaster or the kit one will work for it.
