The first three TMT are done, two delivered. The fourth one is almost done printing, it’s a Sonic the Hedgehog theme. Fifth one is got a few pieces printed. I decorated the first three after printing them, I took some inspiration from others in this forum, so thank y’all for posting your builds. Each of my builds I also try and make some neat toys for the kids. The big hits have been the TPU printzy dragons. I made some little ones from spool ends, and a couple larger ones with rainbow TPU (3 wall - 0% infill).
Love those. Are you going to share pictures of the dragons too?
I assume that you also printed all the other things I see in the background too.
Oh yeah, my living room is covered with tons of stuff I’ve printed. I do printer repairs and such from home, so when people drop by they can see all the crazy stuff you can do with 3D printing. Everything from toys to painted finished items (swords, star wars blasters, etc).
Here are some pictures of the dragons and some of the extras. The character badges started out as cake flag kind of things, so I make extra to send along. One of them I made a Dora lightbox. The sonic build I will probably try and stage a picture of the chair and the life size Sonic together, then print and frame it. I try and go the extra mile, because I have been in a position where my family needed support when my now 11 year old son had open heart surgery at 6mo old. Ronald McDonald House of Philadelphia put us up for a couple nights, so we were not constantly sleeping at CHOP (children’s hospital of Philadelphia). When Nicholas was going through all his medical procedures, we had spent weeks that added up to months staying at CHOP. When you are there that long, you start to meet and bond with other families that are also there. It gives you a whole other perspective on things. For me it really hurt my heart to see so many kids struggling.
just really top notch work and thank you for sharing your personal story!
